The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is one the largest government departments with DWP Digital representing around 3,500 employees.
We know that women are under-represented in digital and tech roles in the sector so in DWP Digital there’s a commitment to redressing the gender balance and create an inclusive workplace.
One of the ways to do this, is by helping female colleagues to become more visible role models, to inspire others to be leaders in digital through our award winning Digital Voices programme.
In this session, Joanne Rewcastle, programme lead, will explain how it’s being used to build confidence and engagement skills for women to be confident at presenting, networking, taking lead roles at events and telling our stories.
Joanne will also explain how we are now amplifying the programmes approach for other colleague advocates to help them talk about their work confidently, especially during the current crisis.
