The Technology Enabled Care Programme (TEC) in Scotland is a national cross sector programme in partnership with the NHS, Local Government, Third , Housing and Independent sector providers. This is centred around the citizen, and focuses on improving access to services by using digital technologies, including the ability to self-manage remotely. The focus on creating the conditions for scale up and adoption over the past few years has enabled a rapid national scale up of Near Me video consulting services to all GP practices and across key secondary care specialities, care homes and prisons, in response to the COVID crisis. This has enabled patients and clinicians to consult remotely and also increased organisational resilience by protecting workforce. The session will focus on the planning and implementation of national scale up, drawing on evaluation and key learning for longer term sustainability.
