The Geospatial Commission was established in 2018 by the government as an independent, expert committee responsible for setting the UK’s geospatial strategy and coordinating public sector geospatial activity. Our aim is to unlock the significant economic, social and environmental opportunities offered by location data and to boost the UK’s global geospatial expertise.
This event will launch the UK’s Geospatial Strategy which will be a "A Strategy for a Location Powered United Kingdom”. The strategy outlines four missions whose activities will unlock the power of location across a range of industries including infrastructure, transport, housing and planning, the environment, retail, finance, the ocean economy and public health and emergency response.
Guest speakers will include:
Sir Andrew Dilnot, Chair of the Geospatial Commission;
Thalia Baldwin, Director of the Geospatial Commission; and
Kru Desai, Geospatial Commission board member.
The event is relevant to many and open to all. There is a maximum capacity so please register early to avoid disappointment.
